Drone photography / Events and weddings
Aerial photos and video for your event or wedding.
A short aerial segment of the venue, the grounds and the arrival adds a view guests rarely see. Drone flight is usually a short add-on to your main photographer, not a full-day service.
What you get
What is in the package.
Best for: Couples with a venue north of Boston, parties and community events, and photographers who want to add aerials without buying a drone.
- A short flight window at a time that works for the schedule, such as before the ceremony or at golden hour
- Edited aerial stills and a short clip of the venue and grounds
- Coordination with your photographer and venue so the drone is not a surprise
- Files by download link
The honest limit. FAA rules limit flying over people, so expect shots of the venue, the grounds and arrivals, not of guests from above. Some venues ban drones; ask yours before you book.
Price
What it typically costs.
$300 to $1,200 is the draft range for Greater Boston (per event), with about $550 typical.
US sources only; no Massachusetts price list found. Flying over people may need a waiver.
Included: Venue and ceremony aerials, Edited stills or a short highlight clip.
Draft ranges researched from published pilot prices (Massachusetts where available, otherwise national), not a quote or a guarantee. Your written quote comes from the pilot who takes the job.
Questions
Common questions.
Can the drone fly during the ceremony?
Usually not over guests. The FAA restricts flying over people, and the noise can carry. Most couples choose a window before or after.
Does the venue need to approve it?
Often yes. Ask the venue first and share their answer with the pilot.
What if it rains?
A drone cannot fly safely in rain or strong wind. A good plan has a backup time, and we ask the pilot what the weather policy is before you book.
