Drone photography / Your house from above (keepsake)

Your house from above, as a keepsake.

A set of aerial photos of the home your family loves: a print for the wall, a gift for a parent who is moving, a record before a renovation, or a photo to mark a milestone. It is a short visit, often 20 to 45 minutes on site, and you get edited photos to print or share.

What you get

What is in the package.

Best for: Families before a move or a renovation, grown children giving a parent a photo of the family home, and anyone marking an anniversary or a milestone.

  • A few edited aerial photos of the house and yard, in the light you choose
  • A top-down view and a three-quarter view, which look best framed
  • Files at print size so they can be framed or made into a canvas
  • Optional short video

The honest limit. Nearby homes will appear in the frame on tight streets, and a drone must stay out of neighbors' yards. The pilot will plan the angles with that in mind.

Price

What it typically costs.

$150 to $400 is the draft range for Greater Boston (per home), with about $225 typical.

Inferred from standalone aerial photo prices; no source prices a keepsake product. Prints and framing are extra.

Included: 5 to 8 edited aerial photos of the home and yard, Digital delivery.

Draft ranges researched from published pilot prices (Massachusetts where available, otherwise national), not a quote or a guarantee. Your written quote comes from the pilot who takes the job.

Questions

Common questions.

What size can I print?

Ask the pilot for full-resolution files and tell them the print size you want; they can say what the files support.

Can I be in the photo?

Yes. A family on the lawn waving up is a popular shot. Flying low over people is limited, so the pilot sets up the angle with that in mind.

What is the best time of year?

Late spring and fall give the best light and colour. Snow-covered roofs are lovely but depend on the weather.
